Fuller House returns for season 2

From 1987-1995 television audiences were delighted by the Tanner family in the hit sitcom Full House. Last season the sequel, Fuller House, premiered on Netflix, with the continuing story of the Tanners. On December 9, season two brings them all back to Netflix.

The girls from Full House are grown adults with families of their own. D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) is a veterinarian, a widow, and a mother of three sons. Her sister, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), left her fancy job to help her sister D.J. with her new life as a widowed mother. D.J.’s Best friend, Kimmy (Andrea Barber), also moves into the house with her daughter, Ramona. To say this house is full again is an understatement.

So, what’s in store for the gang now that the foundation for the Fuller House series has been set? First, Stephanie is going to take her music career to a new level. And, as Sweetin admitted recently, her character will also get a boyfriend.

Fans want to know if there will be more episodes with Danny, Joey, and Jesse, the three men who held the first series in place. They did appear in the first season earlier this year and will still be around. But, as creator and executive producer, Jeff Franklin, told the media, “This is a show that is centered around these three women.” He stressed it is going to show how the three have grown up and what this generation of Tanners (and Gibblers) has become.

Executive producer, Bob Boyett, also stated, “I think there’s an appetite for family programming again. I mean, we went through that phase of families watching television together when they had one television in the home, and then when every kid had a television in their bedroom things changed. Now, families are, I think, looking for an opportunity to spend time together.”

Fuller House is definitely a family show.

Both Cameron Bure and Sweetin have competed in the ABC show “Dancing with the Stars.” Will Barber be the next cast member to show her dancing moves? There is no word about that, as of now. But who knows?

Besides showing us her dance moves and bringing back D.J. to audiences, Cameron Bure is part of the stable of Hallmark Channel regular stars. She has her own movie series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries – the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, in which she plays a wife and mother who always seems to get involved in solving crimes.
